Strictly a lnfn, and as such, fine if it's a family name. If someone just likes the sound, then rather spell it Reed and let it appear to be a nature name.

I like it. I prefer it as a MN over a first but I am definitely a fan of the aesthetic and general impressions I get from it. I imagine a kid that is artistic & an athlete.

I like this name. Thanks to Downton Abbey I prefer it on a girl but I like in on a boy, too.

Reed is my mother's maiden name. I much prefer that spelling. Reid looks sort of off balance to my eye. Especially given the "i before e" rule. And I prefer its use when it's a family name. But it's a good name
