Katherine

I love it!
It's the name of a person who was very important to me. She was almost like my grandmother, and she helped me out with the kids a lot while I was going through a rough time. (She helped with a bunch of things besides my kids during that time, actually.) Sadly, Aunt Kathy passed away a few years ago, after a battle with Cancer.
My daughter is named Katherine Alexandria, after my "aunt" Kathy, and my great-aunt Alexandria.
(My daughter goes by Kate occasionally. She prefers Katherine, though. Her dad calls her Kat and Kitty, because she loves cats.)
Without the personal associations, I still love the name. It's a classic and elegant name, and it has several nicknames, which is nice, if a nickname is needed.

I find this name lifeless, hopelessly boring. I guess it sounds nice, though.
Love it. It’s one of my favourite names.
I like Katharine and Catherine about equally, and I like them very much.
I was at school with a Catherine who started out as Cathy. This lasted for a good ten years, then she changed to Kate very briefly, and then to Cait. Some years after we'd lost touch, I saw her again in the company of friends who were all calling her Catherine, which I was delighted to do as well. I find Kitty an interesting, cheerful nn but the rest are just plain boring.

I like it, it's solid and dignified.
Nice
I love Katherine (and Catherine). Very regal sounding, classy name. My best friend’s name is Catherine. I don’t like Katie / Catie, Kate / Cate, Kitty, or Kathy / Cathy.
Edit: I take it back, I kind of like Kate / Cate. Not enough to use in place of Katherine / Catherine though.
