It's an interesting unisex name, but my first thought was 'funeral pall', and it sounds very close to palace.
It makes me think of Pallas Athena. There was also a minor character with the name in the Aeneid. He was a protege of Aeneas and dies in order to give Aeneas more motivation. I like that the name has multiple mythical associations, and that the characters with the name are largely blank slates - little is known about them so you can flesh them out with your imagination and not feel like you're going against cannon.
Pallas seems unisex. The only thing that I dislike about it is the similarity to the word palace.

Makes me think of Athena. It's a beautiful name, very chilly and remote. Sort of puts me in mind of the evolution of Paris.
Cat.

They're adorable cats, of course, but since I've known about them I can't associate Pallas with anything other than Pallas's Cat.
