Saffron (plus combo ideas)
I've been thinking quite a bit about Saffron lately. From what I understand it was a bit of a flash-in-the-pan name in the U.K., but it has never been popular in the U.S. It's a nature name that doesn't get a lot of attention, and I think it deserves much more love than it receives. (Saffo & Saffy are also cute nicknames.)However, I'm stuck on combos. I had Saffron Penelope for a bit, but it didn't seem to go over well on the polls. And I've thought about Saffron Olivia, but due to Olivia's overuse I'm becoming bored with it. :-(Any help with middle names would be greatly appreciated!***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381

Thank you, finally someone else who sees the beauty in the name Saffron. I’ve wondered for a long time why it isn’t more popular here in Australia. It’s a nature name, it’s unusual, it has nn options (which Aussies love!) and it’s the name of the most expensive spice, which to me is a nice connection. Saffron Olivia is actually quite lovely. I also like Saffron Elizabeth, Saffron Eliana, Saffron Alice, Saffron Jemima, Saffron Lucy, Saffron Zoe, Saffron Cleo, Saffron Chloe, Saffron Mae, Saffron Martha, Saffron Mary and Saffron Miriam.

I really like Saffron for some reason. I don’t know why it never caught on in the States.

Saffron is a romantic name in my mind, and brings to mind Gone With the Wind / Scarlett O’Hara vibes. Saffron Scarlett would even sound kind of cool, in its own right, or even Saffron O’Hara for the GWTW fans...Other combos:Saffron Althea
Saffron Amber
Saffron Anastasia
Saffron Anneliese
Saffron Arlette
Saffron Aviva
Saffron Carla
Saffron Catherine
Saffron Cecilia
Saffron Celeste
Saffron Cerise
Saffron Chiara

Saffron Cosette
Saffron Daisy (pretty darling, if I do say so myself)
Saffron Darcy
Saffron Eleni

I've met a Saffron in the US; I'd guess she's in her late twenties.
It comes across to me as similar in style to Marigold, Delilah, Lorelei, Sierra.

Of the ones you've posted, I like Saffron Delilah, Saffron Marcella, Saffron Isobel, and Saffron Elise the most.I thought about Saffron Winifred before, but ultimately decided it was too F-heavy / repetitive.

Rather forgettable vintage pop song: I'm just mad about Saffron, and Saffron's mad about me; they call me Mellow Yellow (quite rightly)So, mid-60s teenagers, born in about 1950: I'm using the UK stats. The #1 name was Susan, but Susan Saffron/Saffron Susan is too much, even for me.Linda Saffron
