Amity?
WDYT?Is it the best virtue name in your opinion?"When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do..." - Albert Einstein

I like it. I met an Amity once.
Doesn't remind me of Amy because it sounds so different. Sounds more like Emily than like Amy.
It's more namey-seeming than Faith or Constance, and less strivey than Merit (those are other virtue names I like).
It's the least strivey virtue name IMO... amity is like, the least demanding social virtue, doesn't imply self-discipline.
I think it's the best of the -ity virtue names, at least - it's the only one of them that I like.
(I think I don't like Verity as much because it reminds me of "verify" and it makes me think more of belief/conviction than of truth & honesty, but it's nice-sounding)
If Amity as a real person's name reminds someone of Amityville Horror, IMO that problem belongs to the person who keeps thinking about Amityville Horror - not to Amity herself.

Amity is, or looks, too close to the tired Amy for me to enjoy it. And my favourite virtue name is Clemency.

I think it's one of the better ones, anyway. I don't think of Amityville at all until someone else mentions it. Verity is another favorite.

I forgot about Verity that's a good one

No not by a long shot. It reminds me too much of the Amityville Horror movies & books as it would for most people in my region. If you want an unusual virtue name here's my suggestions: Blythe
