Anise
Anise is the name of a flower. What do you think?

I say it (the herb) as "a-NEES", which seems namey enough, like Denise and Saffron or Coriander.
I prefer Anisa, though - I like that version (think it's adorable), compared to Anise, which is just okay.
I guess Anise would be a good option for a gender neutral or masculine flower name (corresponds with Anis, soundwise).

Licorice, yuck.
The likelihood of being called anus, double yuck.

I enjoy the spice anise / aniseed, but I'm unsure of Anise as a name. I know it's AN-is, but I keep reading it as uh-NEES.
Both ways are right.
Reminds me of aniseed and a bit of anus as well unfortunately.

Anise, her brother Mustard and sister Cinnamon? Forget the plant - it's a spice.
I immediately think of the licorice-scented flavoring, which is nice in itself, but I don't care for it name-wise. It sounds rather strange. A little bit abrubt and harsh as well. /:
