It's a nice choice and I often comparative it to Jacquetta in my mind. If anything else it's definitely a unique way to get to the nickname Jackie, or Cindy if one one didn't want to use Jacqueline or Cynthia. I think Jacinta has some strength to it as well.

It's the name of one of my best friends. I have also met at least 2 other Jacintas as well. It's not a bad name but I don't really get the appeal of it, it isn't a name that "flows" imo. I'm having trouble being objective though cos it's so connected to my friend! I know she gets people mishear her name (especially over the phone) a lot, she also tunes in for a moment when the word "disintegrate" is said as that sounds a lot like "Jacinta" until the end (in an Aussie accent anyway). I often write her name down as "Jac" when I write it but no-one really calls her that, I kinda wish they did cos Jacinta "Jac" is cool.

Although it comes from a tragical story, I like it because of its sound and I generally love flowery names.

I met a Jacinthe when I was a younger and thought it was the most beeeaaaaautiful name. She pronounced it the French way. Jacinta seems fun and zippy. I like the Hyacinth-family names.

I adore it (with the English pronunciation) and should probably have it on my list.

Oh I love Jacinta! It's not my usual style but it's really grown on me recently. It seems more realistic than Hyacinth too.
