I like David better but it's a family name for me, which means I'd pick Daniel.

I think both names are very strong and classic. Timeless masculine names would describe them well. I do prefer David though, as I had an “adopted grandfather” growing up whose name was David and I hold very fond memories of him and his beautiful wife, who I was named after.

DavidI don't dislike Daniel, but the "nyel" part sounds a little slimy and the "a" is an annoying diphthong in my accent.
David sounds cleaner and more honest, and I like the v sound.BUT I like Dan better than Dave. Even though both are boring.

I’m going to say David, but they are both pretty boring (not that they’re bad).

Daniel. I just like everything about it more. I like the nickname Danny too. It’s one of my favorite normie boys’ names.

How interesting, I've never compared these two. It seems they are in the same league.
But if I am to choose, let it be Daniel too.

Daniel, David I've always found so boring, like a middle aged tax attorney. Daniel is full of youth, but a little wishy-washy.

David, it just sounds better.

David comes across as elderly and boring. I also dislike the nicknames Dave & Davy. Daniel is better of the two, although I too find it boring. I do love the nickname Danny (mainly because he was the cutest guy in my class haha).

Daniel, but I like both. Although both are family names, Daniel has more sentimental meaning for me. That's probably the primary reason.

My birth surname is a form of David, and I liked it enough to use it as my son's mn. I also like Daniel, but not as much.
