Solid, dependable, boring, dated. Better than Marty, I guess.
I really don't like the sound of Martin. I also find it too dated and not in a way where it should ever make a comeback.

I've always been puzzled by Martin. It seems to fit so neatly with all the other two-syllable-ending-in-n names, and yet it's never caught on in that fashion. Perhaps it seems dated? I like it much better than most other -n names, though not enough to use.
It's simple, pretty and nice! Also, its meaning is really cool.
