Romy
This name is on my mind at the moment. I love it a lot, as well as both of the names Rosemary and Romilly. What are your general opinions on these names?Does the nickname suit either one better? What do you think of other potential full names, such as Rosemarie? Can you think of any others?Do you think Romy could work well enough as a full name itself?---------- I can't seem to decide between the two. I like Rosemary better than Romilly in general, and I think Romy is better suited to Romilly, but either way, I'd want to use that nickname. I think all three names sound very sweet.Rosemarie is nice, but Romy doesn't suit it nearly as well as the others in my opinion.I'd definitely prefer Romy to be short for something, but i would probably still adore it even if it were used as a full name. It just has a nice sound to it.

I love it for Romilda as well but think it's fine stand alone

I love Romy too. It could definitely work on its own but it's also very sweet as a nn for Rosemary or Romilly. If you prefer Rosemary, then go with Rosemary "Romy" =) I love it!

I love Romy as a name by itself. I like Rosemary, but I have a bad association personally. Rosemarie is cute, my gma is Rose Marie. I like Romilly. I also love Romilia and Romelia.

What are your general opinions on these names?I like Rosemary and Romy and don't like Romilly at all.Does the nickname suit either one better?I used to think that Romy is Rosemary's NN. If I'm not mistaken Romy is a german short form of Rosemary. What do you think of other potential full names, such as Rosemarie? Can you think of any others?Well, technically we can also shorten Rosamund to Romy, but it seems a bit far-fetched.Do you think Romy could work well enough as a full name itself?Yes, if there are Remy, Ruby, Rona, Mary, why not just Romy. So, I'd use Rosemary (Romy NN).

I also love Romy, as a nn for Rosemary and also as a full name. It’s definitely able to stand as a full name, it has some serious spunk, but also sweetness. Not a huge fan of Romilly though, even though I love Romy and Milly and Rosemarie seems overdone and just doesn’t give me the same vibes as Rosemary. Romy works well as a nn for either Rosemary or Romilly though. I also love Romi, which is a Hebrew name, so has a different meaning and origin.
