Habiba

Saccharine to anyone who knows a little Arabic (it's sounds just like Sweetheart to me, and I only took one semester of Arabic) - it's like Honey or Precious or Darling in English - usuable I guess but OTT in a way that seems uncomfortably familiar to me, as a name.

I had an Egyptian friend in school who was called this, and she was such a vibrant, energetic person that the name has the same vibe for me. Very pretty both written and said aloud. I've heard Arabic-speaking people call their children "habibi" (as it means darling or similar) and I can't tell if that would be confusing or lovely if one was a native Arabic speaker with this name.
I was thinking of that, also “habibi” seems a very random and common way of addressing people you know, like “kid” or “man”?
It sounds a bit like literally naming someone “Darling.”

It's a guilty pleasure of mine. I'd never use because of its similarity to the bubble gum brand Hubba Bubba.
I kinda like it. It's sweet.
