Cherokee doesn't exist as a name where I live; nor do Tswana or Zulu, which I suppose might be local equivalents. I am hesitant about people who don't mind cultural appropriation - I find it distasteful, but it does sometimes occur as a nn, which might or might not be different.I like Winona. It is the only name I would ever think of using which shortens to Winnie or Win.
