I’ve always enjoyed it. Both how it looks and how it sounds.
Cute but a little too clunky when the T meets the N.
I like it better on a boy. Not so much on a girl; it sounds very dated.
It's ok
I think it's sweet.
I like it, if you look at the extremes in the popularity section for the US, Courtney dropped from the charts so fast! I like it for both genders.
For a boy...
...it's refreshing. I find it so strident on a girl.

Too 80s/90s and I dislike the "court" in there. I never understood its appeal at all. Ashley and Lindsay sound much nicer.
Courtney is a "mean girl" name for me. There is something very snooty about it. It has a lot of empty pretension to it. But at the same time, I like the sound. It really does remind me of the sound of a ball being hit in a tennis court. One thing I always wondered is, what would you call a Courtney for short? All the Courtneys I knew were Courtney in full. Court? That's kinda cute I guess.
My association is with West Indian cricket: Courtney Walsh captained the Windies and was an impressive fast bowler, partnered by Curtly Ambrose. Courtney and Curtly - what are the odds? Anyway, great player but I don't like the name, though it's better than Curtly.
Very abrasive
I have the opposite problem with Courtney than I do with Monica (mentioned in previous thread) and Jasmine: just about every Courtney / Kourtney / etc. who I've met has actually been a nice person, but the name itself is... mean.
It's the "court" part. That itself is reminiscent of courtrooms, which is one of the last places I would like to be (as much as I envy lawyers and judges their salaries, I don't actually envy their jobs). Also, etymologically the "court" part is connected to something being "curt," or short. Originally they meant physically ("short nose"), but it's also reminiscent of a curt, brusque, even abrasive demeanor.

It's okay. I think I like a more than I should, probably because of the character from Total Drama (a show).
The meaning is not that appealing and I really don't think it is unisex.

I don't like it enough to use it but I do like it. It doesn't roll out of the mouth as easily as a lot of other names, is the main reason I don't like it more.
