Leyre is ok but sounds like lair in my accent.

In an English speaking context, it's hard to tell how to pronounce it. You'd get Lair. You'd get Larry. You'd get Layer. You'd get Leer. So while I think it looks and sounds pleasing, I wouldn't recommend it if used in this context, and I couldn't really speak to a different one.

While I'm never a fan of spelling changes, especially to this extent, spelling word names differently is worst of all. It doesn't look at all creative, just like you can't spell. Tragic. This spelling also makes me think "Philistine," which isn't the most positive association.

I know a Rosemary whose mn - which I forget - is the name of a mountain in Tanzania (or maybe Kenya) that her parents climbed before she was born. So, yeah, why not?

Filisity is an abomination; I hope she can rise above it. If I were the Empress of the Intergalactic Federation, I'd have the law on her parents, and if my Hogwarts letter hadn't got lost in the post, I'd put my Timeturner to good use.

It’s kind of hard to say, it doesn’t roll off the tongue naturally but I do like it. I find it interested, and it’s somewhat similar to Lyra. It almost has a sci-fi | fantasy-esque vibe to it, but I think that’s because I watched The Dragon Prince recently and it also sort of reminds me of the main elven character from that show, Rayla.

I think it depends on what country Leyre would be growing up in? In the US it would constantly get mispronounced. The spelling is interesting, but I'm not sure I like the sound of the name itself.

Gonna echo Dracotorix with the . . . creative spelling of Felicity? It's really odd.

I like Leyre, it sounds a little mysterious. But people might be tempted to pronounce it "lair".

Is Filisity a kre8yv version of Felicity? I don't like Felicity much but it's at least interesting and a real word.
