Alice, Marie, Pearl
I've been fond of these names recently (which is surprising because I've hated Alice for a long time and have been indifferent to the other two)...
How would you rate these names, on a scale of 1-10?
What style do you think these names are, as a group?
What are some names you used to dislike but now like?

They're not my style but I like them. As a group they sound soft, vintage, historical, lacy, and literary. I like the impression I get from the grouping more than I like any of the names on their own.
Alice - 10/10 - I would consider using it.
Marie - 9/10 - I really like it. I subtracted a point for being a super common middle name, but it would be refreshing to see it as a first name for a chnage.
Pearl - 4.5/10 - I'm not a fan of gem stone names. The associations I have with it are The Beverly Hillbillies and the Scarlet Letter.

They are all 4 or 5/10.
They seem to be the undying classic, except Pearl which is a bit odd here, as if Pearl is the youngest of the set and her parents decided to be imaginative and choose something unique. At least in comparison with the other two names.
I've never liked Matthew, but now I quite like it, especially its diminutive - Matt, the same with Miles, Rosemary, and Irene. Although I'm not so sure about the last two.

I could easily believe that Alice, Marie, and Pearl were sisters - possibly born in that order, too. The set has a very 1930s vibe to it, with a family that either had money or could easily recall a time when they did.
Although Marie is overdone as a middle name, I actually quite like it as a first (rating 7). It goes with practically everything. I used to really like Pearl but eventually fell out of love with it (6). And Alice is so melancholic to me, I can't warm up to it (3.5).
As for a name that I used to dislike but now love, that is easily Luna. Unfortunately, Luna is also becoming really popular.
I'm also warming up to Gavin.
