I really like it and I'm so pleased (and surprised) to see that others also like it. I always thought of Minerva as being one of those names that commands respect but is kind of tough to love - along the lines of Brunhilda and Ursula. Its beauty is not delicate. I have a friend from Spain who also likes this name and their pronunciation is so lovely - sort of like "mee-NAIR-va". The "NURV" part of Minerva is probably my least favourite part of it.
