Silhouette
WDYT of the word Silhouette as a name? I'd use it as a middle name. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Its not my style at all as a first name I think it would be weird and only a celeb child could get away with it however I always feel that quirky middle names are interesting

I've never heard of Silhouette for a name. It is kind of a pretty woed though. I have heard of the name Soubrette though. Do you like Soubrette? It's a dramatic term in 18 nd 19 century plays for a coquettish ladies' maid.
I think Silhouette would be a lovely middle name, people get uptight over things they consider 'non-names' but every names has to start somewhere!

I like random word names--they're fun. And Silhouette wasn't one I'd thought of before. Congrats; I'll put it on both my Hippy Names List and my Weird Word Names list. ;D
And honestly? It's the middle name slot. My rule is this: You get to do whatever the hell you want with it.

ETA: And since my mind's free-wheeling associations right now, here's what I think of with the word:
*"We Will Become Silhouettes" - The Postal Service
*"Silhouettes on the Shade" (Multiple artists have done this one)
*"Helplessly hoping her harlequin hovers nearby, awaiting a word" (from "Helplessly Hoping," which doesn't include the word Silhouette but may as well)
*Silhouette brand romance novels
So it's very musical-sounding to me, but also a bit naughty, what with the romance novels.

Ha, you were the one person that I was pretty positive would like it ;)
Where I got it:
Rascal Flatts- "The Cool Thing", "all I could see were purples and reds and her silhouette"
RENT- "Another Day" "Take your brown eyes, your pretty smile, your silhouette"
Two of my favorite songs ;)
Thanks! :)

What?
No, seriously, that was my reaction. What? What the heck?
What is your purpose in using this? What's the meaning for you?
Because to me it just sounds weird.
