There was actually greater change in my masculine list than my feminine one for this month! Previous mainstay Jonathan, after a great deal of debate, was replaced with the similar Nathaniel - which, in years past, was my preferred name of the two. I still enjoy Jonathan, but Nathaniel has climbed back up the ranks. Levi and Raphael were also replaced by perennial favorite Cameron and brand new gem Uriah, which has grown on me unexpectedly.
On the feminine list, Maxine and Francesca were replaced by perennial favorites Josephine and Thaïs (TAY-is).
Now, for the ten-year comparison! These were my Top 10 combos around this time ten years ago:
Richard Cameron
Damon Wesley
Nathanael Jacob
Hunter Leland
Edmund Remiel
Sean Alastair
Robert Lachlan
Josiah Forest
Declan Rhys
Caleb Nicholas
&
Miranda Elizabeth
Julia Maris
Cecily Wren
Farrah Stefani
Philippa Sage
Roxanne Ava
Maia Lusine
Bernadette Simone
Constance Meriwether
Magnolia Tess
I'm surprised by how similar they are to my tastes today! I did used to prefer the Nathanael spelling (not anymore). And yes, these were the days of Hunter Leland... and while Damon and Declan don't really suit my tastes anymore, I don't think any of my masculine combos are "bad," per se. No eyebrow-raisers.
I obviously love Miranda, and do like Elizabeth, but together that's too long. Julia Maris & Cecily Wren are familiar combos, I remember they stuck around for a long time. Farrah Stefani and Bernadette Simone made me smile. And I really don't remember liking Magnolia...
