Milan
I was going to make a poll for this but since I reached my daily limit...
Anyways, what do you think of Milan?
I like the wanderlust vibes that place names give me although for this one the city's name is from a different source. I like that this name is of Slavic origin (and the meaning "gracious, dear") since I have some Slavic roots myself and it sounds not as "out there" as other names of similar origin.
There's a lot of discussion whether this can be a feminine name too; I think it is definitely masculine in Slavic countries but I get the appeal as a feminine name outside of those countries.

It's ok, I like it for a girl because on a boy I think it would sound kinda entitled.

I think it's sinful to use a specific place name because it evokes general wanderlust. Better to use something like Journey.I like it as a Slavic name pretty well. It's been on my mind a little. I like the idea of pronouncing it like "MY-lun" in English and "MEE-lan" elsewhere.I get the appeal. It's sort of an elegant word with the city pronunciation. I just don't think it's right.

I once had a dream about a world where it was religious law that everyone was given a random place name when they were born, and they had to find a way to get to that place at some point in their life in order to fulfill their soul's purpose. Speaking of sinful wanderlust.

Oh that's great. I hope mine is Vienna.

I've met Milans of both genders. The guy was from somewhere in Eastern Europe; the gal was an American who, I think, was just named that because it sounded chic.
I don't like it for either. I think I just don't care for the sound of it, with second-syllable emphasis. Nms.
But I think on a guy it seems more like an actual name, and on a gal (where I live), it just seems like an allusion to the city, evoking urban Europe and "high fashion."

It’s fine. I think Milena or Milana would be better if you wanted to honor your heritage, though, since they’re the correct gender in most Slavic cultures.
