Marie
This is my grandma's name. I know that it's a basic middle name, but I really want to honor my grandma - who is the only parental figure I've ever had - and I want to name one of my eventual children after her in some way. I've been really thinking of the middle names Rosemary or Rosemarie for my second child (if I actually ever have them). What do you think?

Marie is lovely. I think it has a lot of understated beauty to it. I love Rosemarie and Rosemary is also nice.

Marie is my grandma's name too and I definitely want to use it too, even though it is a basic filler name. It's my middle name and several of my cousins' middle names. I'll probably use it as a middle name too with my other grandma's name Genevieve Marie, if I ever have a daughter. I also really like Rosemary and Rosemarie. They are both really high on my favorite's list.

Rosemary is lovely. How about Marigold?

I think it’s pretty and quite distinctive these days. I prefer it to Mary.

Like most basic mns, it is fresh and interesting as a fn. So you could use Marie by itself, or Maryrose instead of Rosemary for another twist. I rather enjoy Maryrose!

I like it. It might seem plain to some, but I enjoy its unpretending modesty. It’s better than Mary and Martha, at least.Rosemarie is lovely, and it definitely works!

I love Marie and Rosemarie as first names. Marie-Rose is also charming. Yes, it is almost always tiresome in the middle name position. I can’t think of any exceptions besides Anne Marie, Genevieve Marie, Grace Marie, and Rose Marie.I like:Marie Agnès
Marie Béatrix
Marie Charlotte
Marie Catherine
Marie Caroline
Marie Elisabeth
Marie Élise
Marie Isabelle
Marie Louise
Marie Thérèse

Very Pretty! I say use it as a first name!Rosemarie is very pretty, and it isn't like the Rosemary spice (Rosemary is also very pretty.), so I would go with Rosemarie. Maybe Marie Rose?

Personally I can't stand Marie bc it seems so lazy. Like, oh, can't think of anything, might as well use this name everyone uses! That said it is delightfully Catholic. If it has personal meaning to you use it no matter what anyone says. I like Rosemarie because it stands out from the crowd.

I actually really like Marie. It reminds me of "The Nutcracker" which I love (in different versions of it the girl is named either Clara, Marie, Mary, Maria or Maria nn Masha or Mascha). It makes me think of winter which is nice.I wouldn't use it because I'm French/German and here it is not only THE middle name (even though I believe Sophie is more common) but also a really common first name. However in the US I feel it is hardly used as a middle name anymore. I see Rose and Grace way more often, I feel Marie was THE middle name before circa 1990.I like Marie as a first name. As a middle name Rosemarie is also nice. I feel like Rosemary is not really honoring her because the Marie is missing.Suggestions:Heidemarie
Annemarie

Marie is actually a very pretty name. It gets shunted to the middle so often that it's lost a bit of sparkle, but it's really very sprightly! I like it much better than Mary. I think Rosemarie would be a great way to honour your grandma.

I've def considered just naming my second child Marie. I do love Marie. I know a lot of people push it toward the middle name space, but I love it. It's a great name all on it's own.

Rosemary and Rosemarie are both lovely names and a good way of honouring your grandma.
