I used to really like it a few years back but now not so much.
The EYE-o pronunciation makes me think of “I owe” and subsequently debt. The EE-o pronunciation makes me think of the “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” song (Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O...)
I do like the mythology and the princess connection though, and to be honest I really want to like this name but I just can’t. Maybe I will down the line.
Maybe Io Delilah or Io Elizabeth?
God it sounds like “I owe Delilah / I owe Elizabeth” so much to me!
