Annalise / Anneliese
Thoughts on this name? How would you spell it? The only girl with this name was a girl from my school who's name was spelled Analise, but I prefer Annelise because it's closer to the original but kinda looks neater than Anneliese I guess.

AnneliseI much prefer Annelise since it’s the Danish spelling and thus the one that I’m familiar with. I know enough Dutch and German to recognise that the ie makes sense in those languages, whereas the e is completely unnecessary when I look at it a Dane. Long story short: I prefer Annelise since it’s the standard spelling in my country. Is it used for kids and young people at the moment in your country? It’s very outdated here. 60+ name.

Annalise is somewhat popular, not extremely though and it didn't chart till the late 90s. Annabel(le) and Anna / Hannah are used way more in the US.

Like you, I also enjoy the Annelise spelling; but Anneliese is more common in Anglophone countries (with Annalise being most common - despite the name itself not actually being that common - though I don't care for that spelling). So someone with the spelling Annelise would likely have it misspelled as Anneliese or Annalise quite a bit.Analise looks like analyse / analyze, I don't like that spelling at all.

I like it. The German original is Anneliese. I believe that it was Anne Frank's full name.Annelise is fine as well. I think I might even like it a tiny bit better.Annalise and Annaliese would be pronounced differently in German. They look okay, but Anneliese and Annelise look better.I also quite like Annalisa.Analise looks misspelled to me, sorry.

Love it either way. This is one name I'm not too picky about. My favorite spellings are Anneliese and Annalisa (I also had a classmate named Annalisa).

AnnelieseHi !!!I prefer Anneliese. I dislike this kind of names. Overly traditional and boring compounded names. However I prefer Anneliese because it seems more elegant than the weak Annalisa or Annalise.
