It doesn't sound too bad, but it doesn't seem very namey. Could be for any gender, honestly. Meaning isn't bad at all, many associate it with a beautiful image.

Hm. I doubt it's a scandal, but maybe think twice before using it, or use it as a nickname or middle name. I think it works for either sex.

How about Isla or Leland or Skye instead?

It makes me feel positively fond of Isla, which I never thought would happen.I assume it's female, if only because 'no man is an island'.

I also associate 'no man is an island'. Island as a name would have an implication of isolation I don't like.
