Liam
I don't think many people on BtN like this name- I always hear that it should be short for William- but I have always liked how warm and friendly it is. It's popular, I know, but that doesn't bother me, since I'm not naming a baby. Anyway, what do you think of Liam? What vibe does it give you? What would you use as a middle name?

It has a circa 2000 vibe to me: that's when I liked it, anyway. It's sturdy for a NN and more cheerful than William.
Liam sounds youthful. He's a preteen who's good at soccer and mediocre at guitar, if he's anyone specific at all.
It reminds me a little of Travis, kind of? But younger.
I think the Lee part is annoying to me, but I tend to like names that end with m.
Liam Walter
Liam George
Liam Joseph
Liam Davis
Liam Daniel
I don't think I'd pair it with anything long or weird.

It’s dated in the UK. It was in the top 10 in 1996. It’s not really my style but I’ve also met a few who have put me off the name!
Liam is a loud-voiced Irish lorry driver in his forties. His cab is littered with coffee cups, Guinness bottles and pizza boxes; he is overweight. You can tell when he's approaching from the volume at which he plays his music.
