Sunflower
I love sunflowers and if I had a daughter I would call her “sunny”.

I think it’s way too cutesy and fake. Marigold or even Sunny itself would be better.

I love sunflowers too and I think you could get away with using sunflower as a mn, but maybe not a fn. I do think Sunny makes a cute fn though.

I think it could work, but I'd prefer it as a MN.

Sunflower sounds like the name Susan Jones from Squaresville, Iowa might give herself as she rolls into Woodstock in the vanagon painted with flowers and strips donw to roll around in the mud and take acid.

It sounds silly and reminds me of Sunflower oil. Sunny on its own would actually be better.

You may love sunflowers but she is the one who has to write Sunflower Soandso on top of a resume for the rest of her life. Just call her your little sunflower or sunny. People often get nn that isn't related to their name. My hubby had completely diff name growing up bc he got the nn from a television character.

You could call her Sunny whatever her name was. Might Sunflower not be just a tiny bit seedy?
