Which gender do you prefer these names on?
So I see that with these names specifically, people “don’t like boys names on girls” or think “it’s too feminine for a boy” but anyways, here’s the list.Amari
Alex
Avery
Addison
Blake
Charlie
Dylan
Dominique
Hayden
Harley
Rainer
RiverFor me personally:Amari: In my opinion, the name is more masculine than feminine, probably because I only knew boys with that name, but I could see a girl with the name Amari.
Alex: This is equally unisex in my opinion.
Avery: I can’t see a boy with the name Avery for some reason.
Addison: Probably because I only knew girls with the name Addison, but I can’t see it on a boy. The meaning is real awkward for a girl though.
Blake: I honestly really like the name Blake on a boy, it’s nice and handsome. For a girl the name is pretty meh.
Charlie: The name is equally unisex. I just don’t know how to feel about “feminine” variations of the name like Charli, Charlee, or Charleigh.
Dylan: The name is extremely common on boys, so it would be refreshing to see a girl with the name Dylan, but I prefer it on a guy.
Dominque: I honestly feel like this name is unisex. Ironically enough I only knew guys with the name Dominique and I feel like it’s cool on a guy.
Hayden: A name I honestly hate on a girl.
Harley: I can’t for the life of me see this on a boy.
Rainer: 100% for a boy in my opinion.
River: I don’t care for it on a girl, but I love it on a boy.

Amari: Don’t really care for it on any gender.
Alex: Same here.
Avery: Hm. I don’t really know. It’s alright on a girl, but would be much fresher on a boy.
Addison: Would much rather prefer it on a boy than a girl.
Blake: Masculine.
Charlie: It’s fine on either gender.
Dylan: Masculine.
Dominique: Feminine.
Hayden: Masculine.
Harley, Feminine.
Rainer: Masculine.
River: Overused on a girl, but I would love it on a boy.

All boy except Dominique. And Alex, which is a unisex nickname.

Amari: I’ve never heard it before. I could see it on a girl because it reminds me a little of Amaya. But it’s probably male. Alex: Male. Definitely. For girls, I’d just stick with Alexandra.Avery: Male. Addison: I don’t like the name but I would imagine a girl. Blake: Male. I always think of Blake Carrington so I think it’s odd on women. Charlie: Definitely male. Dylan: Male. I don’t think it makes sense on females. Dominique: With the spelling, I think it’s all female. I like it a lot. I also like it on boys, but then it should be spelled Dominic. FWIW, I pronounce them differently. Hayden: Male. But it’s not very pleasant no matter what. Harley: Girl! Absolutely girl. Rainer: Unthinkable on a girl. It’s super male. River: I much prefer it on a boy.

Amari: I’m gonna go with Masculine personally. I only knew boys with the name Amari so I’d go with that.
Alex: Unisex.
Avery: 100% Girl name for me.
Addison: I can’t for the life of me see this on a boy.
Blake: My crush middle name is Blake, he’s a boy. It’s pretty nice and a boy. I don’t really like it that much on a girl.
Charlie: Unisex.
Dylan: I much prefer this on a boy, but I wouldn’t be surprised to meet a girl named Dylan.
Dominique: My dads name. I feel like it’s fairly unisex. Even though I see it more on boys for some reason. (I met more males named Dominique.)
Hayden: Boy.
Harley: 100% Girl name imo.
Rainer: I love the name Rainer. I hate it on a girl though.
River: I also love the name River. On a girl it’s meh.

Addison: girl
Blake; boy
Charlie: either
Dylan: 100% boy
Dominique: girl
Hayden: boy, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see it on a girl
Harley: both
Rainer: boy

To me they're all boys names, minus Dominique and Harley (Which I prefer both for girls) and Avery (Which I feel actually suits both)

Amari - I've met more girls with this name than boys, but with all different spellings. I think this spelling is more for a boy and Amarie is more for a girl.
Alex - I don't see this as a full name itself. It can be short for boy or girl names.
Avery - girl
Addison - girl
Blake - boy
Charlie - boy, but it's okay on a girl
Dylan - boy
Dominique - girl
Hayden - prefer boy
Harley - boy
Rainer - boy
River - boy
