Re: Natasha, Nina, Nadia

I love Natasha. I think it has two vibes at once: the mentioned "trashy" vibe, but also a "quirky and born rich" vibe. I think Russian names - and especially diminutives - lend themselves very well to eccentric aristocrats. I don't like Natacha, it makes it looks... confused. Natascha, however is bold - I don't particularly like it but I respect it.
For middle I like Natasha Simone.
I'm not too fond of Nina. But I get strong "thinking outside the box" vibes from it. Also, Nina on its own is miles better than as a nn for any longer name. I think this name works best just on its own but some combos I enjoy would be Nina Celeste or Nina June.
Nadia is one of my favourites. I know one who's middle name is Olga, so how's that for bringing it down to earth? XD She hates it, and it's hard to not notice how aggressively eastrn european the combo comes across so I get it. I personally don't think it needs any bringing down, after all it's already a nn for a longer name, which doesn't give it a very elevated feel. I like Nadia Marceline or Nadia Pearl.

Haha, I think the eccentric aristocrat was also part of the vibe that popped into my head with Natasha, a bit... fiery and revolutionary, in a way where it's easy to be fiery and revolutionary when you don't have to worry about keeping food on the table and consequences are a thing that happen to other people. Natascha is neat, way better than Natacha.
I, on reflection, sort of also think Nina probably should just be Nina, maybe trying to make it a nn waters it down to a point where its simplicity is...too flimsy. It's trying to make it more than it is which takes away from its charm. And I kinda love Nina June. I've always loved June's earthy almost-clunky vibe and it really adds substance to Nina.
Not gonna lie, I unashamedly love Nadia Olga. Olga's not my speed, I won't really argue with those who call it 'ugly' but it does bring Nadia down to Earth with a clunk and I am there for it, haha. Aggressively E. European is one way of putting it, but I also think it's great. Nadia Marceline and Nadia Pearl are both beautiful.
