Which do you like more? Why? What do you think about this name in general? Combo ideas? Thanks. He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.

Cecilia has the correct vowels to me. I think of the Italian pronunciation. Cecelia is also sort of endearing also in an older lady sot of way. I don't dislike either.Prefer Cecile.

Cecilia. Cecelia looks odd.

The Cecilia spelling and that one's a huge fave of mine. The Cecelia spelling just looks odd to me. I think it has something to do with the difference in the pronunciation between the Danish (my native) and the English ways. We practically pronounce the second 'e' in Cecelia as an 'i', so Cecilia is a better way of spelling it, and, overall, it really looks better and more correct to me.

Cecilia. I used to LOVE it, but the meaning is bad, and a specific bitch ruined it for me.MNs:

Someone, somewhere, presumably thought that Cecelia made a good, longer version of Celia ... it sets my teeth on edge. I like Cecily and Celia enough to use, but I find Cecilia too fancy in spite of Simon and Garfunkel, and I try not to perpetuate spelling mistakes if possible.

Cecelia for aesthetic reasons. That and I look at Cecilia and read "see-silly-a" before recognising it's not supposed to
