I'm from US west coast and today when I read it, I thought to myself "seh-LEE-nee" ...
Maybe just because I'm seeing it on BtN today. I've learned here that it's a Greek goddess, and also that Irene and other Greek -ene names can be pronounced -EE-nee or -EH-nee in English... and so maybe I'm reading it differently than I would in real life. I think - don't know for sure - that if I saw it as a person's name in some other context, I'd say suh-LEEN.
