Sounds unpleasantly metallic.

Teal is my favorite color. But the word itself has never sounded attractive to me even as a word, let alone a name. Sorry.

Not a fan, in spite of loving the color. I want to read is as “tile.”

Pleasant bird, lovely colour, lousy human name.

It's one of my favorite colors, and I actually know of someone who has a little girl called Teal. (Her last name doesn't work too well with Teal and makes her sound like a Crayola.) I don't think it makes a very good first name.

Nice as a colour, terrible as a name

I kind of like it too, but I will never use it.

Maybe for a middle name

The first time I saw the movie Balto as a kid, I thought the character Steele was actually named Teal after the color. It's a cool nickname or alias but I wouldn't use it as a proper name.

One of my guilty pleasures. I like the teal color
I wanted to name my child this, and I like it on a boy and girl. It's better off as a middle name. You reay have to pull it off to use it as a first name.

I agree it would be such a good middle name
