Each generation seems to have one masculine name (often deriving from a surname) that becomes the in-vogue "sporty" choice for girls. This new generation has Harper. Gen-Z had Madison. And us Millennials had Taylor.
I could see it being resurrected in a couple decades as a masculine name, but as a feminine name it is very dated.
