I personally prefer Isabelle over Isabella, and Isabel. Even though both are a bit too common for my taste. And Izzy isn’t gonna be completely avoidable. You can call her Issa, or Belle. Izzy makes my ears cringe for some reason.

I’ve always liked Isabel and Isabelle. Isabel has an unpretending charm, and Isabelle is more dressed-up and elegant but still not too frilly. I’m not too keen on the nauseatingly popular Isabella, though.

I like Annabel as well, but it feels a bit on the frillier/more princess-y side, so I prefer Isabel.

I don’t really think Isabella and Bella have ruined the others. I do hate Izzy, though, and I largely prefer Belle/Bel.

It’s fine but kind of boring. I like it better than Annabel which feels too frilly.

Isabel > Isabelle > Isabella and the gradient is very steep - I like Isabel a lot and I can barely stand Isabella. Bella is an awful nickname, I think Izzy is leagues better, I don't love it but it's okay.

I prefer Isabel to any variant of Annabel but any variant of Annabel to Isabella.

I prefer Isobel (or Isabel) and Annabel; I'd consider using both (actually, either). Isabelle and Annabelle are just wrong: they aren't French (OK, Isabelle has become French), they don't have Beautiful as part of their meaning, and they are frilly and fussy and over-ornate.

Isabella immediately shortens to Bella, which I find entirely canine. I had a dog named Bella-Bark and my SIL has one named Bella, so the associations are good but not human at all (in spite of two distant great-aunts).

I've never heard Izzy as a nn; Iz might be more likely? And less silly. Dizzy, Fizzy Izzy ... no.

I like the name Isabel too but it is way to common for my taste.
