Olive

I’ve ever cared for it. It’s just the name of a vegetable and nothing more - like naming a kid Tomato or Asparagus.
I love Tomato--Tommy for short! :)
We had a thread on this name recently.
I like it a bit more since then. It's calm and quiet. But I wouldn't use it and I wouldn't want to be named Olive. I love olives and olive trees but I still find it old-fashioned and at the same time kind of 2000s dated which is a weird combo. It's nice on someone else.

I feel like the recent fuss is just happening on this board. Apart from still feeling a bit old fashioned I also find it weirdly 2000s dated at the same time. To me it feels like in the 2000s every celebrity named their kid Olive. There was an Olive in "Easy A" and Olive in "Little Miss Sunshine", Isla Fisher had an Olive with Sasha Baron Cohen. Drew Barrymore had an Olive. It already feels like a thing of the past.
Don't like it, ok as a middle name
