I've returned to enjoying Delilah after years of having been made sick of it by the Plain White T's song (completely overplayed when I was in high school). Right now I have it in the combo Autumn Delilah.

Meh. But there’s a nice song.

It has a pleasant sound, but it feels languid and idle.

I far prefer Delia. When I see Delilah, I hear Tom Jones yowling melodramatically.

I think it's nice. I tend to associate it with Lilah, Lila, Layla, etc... It seems to have become pretty popular lately. We have a little Delilah on our street.

It’s got a pretty sound (just like Jezebel) but I wouldn’t personally want my own child to be associated with the biblical name sake. For me, it’s a one person name.

Congratulations on the new great-granddaughter. I dislike the name, but I'm sure the little girl is darling regardless of what her name is.
The meaning "delicate, weak, languishing" is not empowering. Since the name is so associated with a particular character, it even has a dictionary definition. Delilah
noun
1. Samson's mistress, who betrayed him to the Philistines. Judges 16.
2. a seductive and treacherous woman.

I love it - it's such a pretty lilting sound.

Hey there Delilah...
Seriously, it's okay. I kinda like how she was a semi villain in the bible. It makes me think of a melody.

OMG!! Yes!!! Delilah is amazing! Or Lilah for short! I love it!! I love twin names, and they can be different, or similar. Delilah and Delaney! IDK.
