Adrian seems wet. Adria is pretty for a girl, but Adrian seems like a name for a male jelly-fish that sways with the tide and can't stand up straight.

Because I hate Adrian (I dislike the look and sound, and have bad connotations with it) and I love "To Kill a Mockingbird".

I prefer the feel I get from Adrian, but both are good.

I know two boys named Atticus (one goes by Atty and one is just Atticus) and one girl named Adrian (I've know I've met a few more, but with unknown spellings). Never met a boy Adrian but I still like it.

Atticus is fine but I absolutely LOVE Adrian. It's very classic and strong and undeniably handsome. It's without a doubt one of my top favorites. (:

I love Adrian, though I prefer the Adrien (French) variant. It's subtle, but I prefer the pronunciation.

Atticus I like a lot, but it isn't a name I'd consider a child. I hear "attic". It's similar to Atlas... and Abacus in that way. Though I doubt kids nowadays would know what an abacus is (actually I'm not sure the kids of my own generation would have known what an abacus is - I knew only because my grandma had one her kids used to use for school and my brother and I played with it as a toy as small children)

Adrian is one of my all time favorite names. Atticus is just too tied to To Kill A Mockingbird for me.

Atticus, like Scout, is too tied to To Kill A Mockingbird. The message seems to be "Look how well read I am", which is silly.

Adrian gets my vote all the time, all the way. I would gladly use it for a son; I am not fond of the female versions. Hadrian ties it to the Roman emperor who built the famous Wall, but Adrian retains its classical form without having pronunciation issues (the H was silent in Latin).

I thought I hated Atticus, but, I guess it is now my recommendation! I went to bed hating it, but woke up loving it!
