Maria vs. Marina
Which name do you prefer and what middle names would you suggest?

I like them both, in a vague kind of way, but since I really like Marinus a lot, I wouldn't consider Marina.

Because a marina is a place where boats are kept. What about:
Maria Willow
Maria Sylvie
Maria Scarlett
Maria Katherine

It’s much more interesting than Maria. The "marina" association doesn’t really bother me (well, less than the "marine" association with Marine does).
I really want to put it with an old-fashioned French name, for some reason:
Marina Marguerite
Marina Adèle
Marina Jeannette
Marina Delphine
Marina Claudette
Marina Brigitte

Maria is in the top 5 most boring, blah, and overused names EVER.
I’m not in love with Marina, but I love the water, and it’s a much more pleasant and sparkly name that Maria.
Marina Jade
Marina May
Marina Victoria
Marina Grace
Marina Jocelyn

Marina, hands down.
It's not even a matter of me being in love with the name Marina (it's decent), so much as the fact that Maria is completely overused to the point where it's almost just a sound rather than a name. I think I've met more Marias than Marys (really).

Maria sounds better so I choose Maria.
Marina is associated with the sea which is nice but seems a bit dated and doesn't sound as nice.
Marina gives me the image of, well, a marina. So it doesn't have a sea-image quite as nice as the one I get from Océane, for example. It seems a bit more technical.
Something interesting for Maria:
Maria Amandine
Maria Isadora
Maria Celandine
Maria Juliet
Marina Elise
Marina Jessamine
Marina Rosabel
Marina Eliane
