Roger
Do you like Roger?I'm reading "His Dark Materials" right now (almost finished) and this is one of the characters. I never liked it but it has grown on me a bit. Also Serafina is a character. What do you think of the name?Oh and please don't spoil the book (I have two more chapters of the first one to finish).

I never really cared for Roger but I could see it grow on me.Serafina is a bit frilly for my taste, but I like Serafina Pekkala so that makes the name a bit nicer to me.And now I would love to learn how you’ll like the next two books. I thought the final book was very interesting.

I dislike Seraphina, but Roger has always been a favourite. Piratical and jolly, it's well known without ever having been too popular. And as a child I hugely enjoyed the Arthur Ransom Swallows and Amazons books, where Roger was a delightful character. The only Roger I know is successfully married to an old friend, so that's good too.

Roger is my father’s name, so I am both fond of it and unable to separate it from him!Serafina is lovely but I prefer Seraphina.

LoveI love Roger! However. I think it means something odd in UK, AUS and/or NZ. Like shagging?Don't care much for Serafina.

I've started watching the HBO series yesterday, as it happens. I quite like Roger, but only with English pronunciation. The French pronunciation makes it sound very old.I don't know about Serafina. It's a bit too frilly for me, I think. Or too cutesy.

Roger's not terrible but it's got a comical feel to it. Like Roger could be the lovable but bumbling dad or uncle on a sitcom.
Serafina sounds like a kind of shampoo.
