Else, Minna, Frida...
These are the names of my great-grandmother (Else), her older sister (Minna) and her younger sister (Frida or Frieda, depending on the source). They were born in the 1890s into a German-speaking Jewish family in Moravia (north Czechia). Else got herself and her sons out, but Minna and Frida (along with their mother Emma, and Minna’s husband and son) were killed in the Holocaust.
I think that between the English word and the Disney character, Else is probably unusable, but what do you think of Minna and Frida / Frieda? Usable? Combos?

Very interesting family history. I really like Minna. Frida is alright too. I think I prefer Frida to Frieda just because of the word "fried". I think both Minna & Frida are usable.

I love Minna. I first came across it in a book character maybe ten, twelve years ago, and just thought it was lovely. Unusual but easy to say/spell in English, and a refreshing alternative to the Mila/Mina names. It wasn't until recently that I discovered its meaning, which makes it even better. What a beautiful name to have in your family tree and to remember.
Frida/Frieda is more tied to Frida Kahlo for me, which isn't a bad thing, it just is a hard association to shake. Perfectly usable though.
My go-to combo for Minna fluctuates between Minna Rosalind and Minna Rosamund. I think they sound equally nice, but I can't tell if I like the look of the repeating "in" element or the repeating "m" more.
