I used to really dislike Daphne because it reminded me of Daffy Duck. That was my immediate write-off. My opinion changed when I actually met real people named Daphne (customer service) and I was able to say it aloud a few times in a neutral setting. I realized it's actually a pretty cool name to have - and like you, it grew on me.

Daffodil as a name, though, still absolutely makes me think of Daffy Duck (and makes me laugh).
