You could, I guess, make Owin or Owen out of Oliver Edwin, but if you were going to do that, why not just name him Owen and be done with it?
Personally I like Eddie as a nn much better than Ollie or Oliver or Edwin. I like Ted too.

I know of a couple of young boys (under 3) who are called Ted/ Teddy affectionately. I don't think either was planned, but they're cute like teddy bears so people go for it.
I think their names are Alex / Alexander and Cooper? But they're Teddy online.
