Jasmine
Jasmine went up a bit in 2019, I guess due to the Aladdin movie. Do you think it will rise further and end up in the top 50 again? Or is it too 90s for that?
I do like it, I think it is one of my favorite J names. It also makes a good middle name.
Also, if you had to choose ANY J-name for a daughter, which one and why? I'd choose Jasmine because I love the plant, its scent and the Aladdin movie. I also kind of like Joanna and Josephine as well as Juliet. Which one would you pick?

I quite like Jasmine as a name, and it's one of my favorite flowers (for their scent). However, other than 1 person, every Jasmine I've ever met (with the correct flower spelling) has had a serious attitude problem., particularly in terms of aggressive entitlement. It's like the name is cursed - for me, anyway. (Strangely enough, people with "creative" spellings of the name are usually all right.) As for popularity it's slowly declining, but I foresee it being regarded as a very Millennial / Zoomer name in the future.
As for my favorite feminine J-name, that's easy: Juliana. It's one of my very favorites.

I don't like Jasmine. The "Jazz" sound just isn't my thing. I don't get a dated feel from it, but I also don't see it entering the top 50, not unless some celebrity names their kid that or a popular TV show names a character that. I don't think the Disney princess will push it far enough.
I would pick Juliette. It's traditional and elegant.

I’ve always loved the name Jasmine, it just sounds beautiful to me and the plant smells divine. I honestly don’t think it’s dated, it seems like a botanical classic to me. It might go up in popularity again, it’s possible.
I love lots of J names, but my fave J name for a girl is Jemima, I just adore that name.

I like Jasmine a lot but I’m not sure about top 50 again but I’m also in the UK and I’m not sure how high it rose here. The only Jasmine I knew was one of my brownies (girls 7-10) and she will be 18 now.
My favourite J name is Jemima after a historical figure in the UK Jemima Fawr also known as Jemima Nicholas.
I also like Juliet, Julia, Jenna, Jennifer and Jillian
