Oren
For some odd reason I've fallen in love with this name, for a boy. It fits right in with the current trends but hasn't caught on.Wdyt? Too plain, too short? Too close to Owen? Or is it just too obscure, so it doesn't come to mind?

It sounds like a cowboy in a movie about the old west. Oren aids a small town being terrorized by a gang of extortionist bandits and then rides of into the sunset. Orrin Sackett is a character in Louis L'Amour's novel series, which is probably why I get cowboy vibes. He is portrayed by Tom Selleck.

For me, I can’t not associate it with Orrin Hatch, longest running Republican Senator of Utah :( but outside of Utah it would work way differently.

I like it but I’m not sure it works well in English. I’ve met one or two who were Israeli.

I liked it except it reminds me of Orin, the dentist from Little Shop of Horrors.
