I am surprised it’s been more popular in recent years because it seemed like it should have peaked in the early 2000s, as a successor to Brittany, Ashley, Brianna, etc. I think it sounds very dated and has almost no substance; just a mashup of a popular prefix and suffix. I was kind of disappointed when a friend of mine named her daughter this recently because I find very little to like about it. :/
