Tim as a nickname for Septima?
This just came to me. I dislike Septima but I think Tim would be a pretty cool nickname. Simple, unpretending, pleasant. Anyone agree? Are there any other masculine nicknames that you like for feminine names?

I'd prefer Tima as a nn for Septima, or maybe Sep, Septa, Sepi? Maybe Timmy for a baby/toddler named Septima. Tim isn't a bad idea, but it's one of those nicknames that's incompatible with the name. So if your name is Septima "Tim", either your full name fits you and your nickname doesn't or your nickname fits you and your full name doesn't. I kinda feel like if your full name doesn't fit you, you should change it instead of just going by a nickname that clashes with it, because the clashing name is still there.

I like Septima. It has a wizardly seventh daughter of the seventh daughter vibe while still sounding dignified. Tim is okay although boring. As a nickname, it could work.

Tim is a very good nn. A bit of a stretch for Septima, I'm afraid.Antonia and Antoinette turn into Toni with depressing regularity! As Jacqueline turns into Jackie. And I was at school with sisters named Josephine and Roberta but known as Jody and Bert.

I mean I guess it could work, it kind of has a tinkling, fairy-like quality on a girl, but I would soften it up by using Timi instead.
