I've actually always liked Emily but it's unusable to me as a fn because it's so overused. I rank it up there with pretty, classic names that are extremely popular -- Elizabeth, Katherine, Sarah, and Emily. I actually know several sibsets with 2-4 of these names included in them. :-/ I agree that Emilie is a bad idea (if not using the French pronunciation). I do like Emilia and Amelia. What about Amelie or Emmeline? I can definitely get behind Emily as a mn, though. I like all of your mn choices (well, maybe not Sparrow as a fn, but it's sweet as a mn, I agree), esp. Josephine Emily and Rosamund Emily.
