I'm in the US and would expect to see Annika. I can't explain it but there is something about this name that grates on me. I really dislike it.

I live in Sweden where Annika is a rather common name in my parents generation. I would pronounce Anika totally different, to me they're not even the same name.

I'd expect to see it spelled Annika as well. I also prefer it because it looks more complete and is the variant I'm used to seeing. (Usually only online and stuff as the name isn't at all common where I'm from which is also from the U.S) (:

I’d expect Annika more than Anika, but neither is very common anywhere I’ve lived. Anika looks like something is missing.

I live in Denmark and I both prefer and expect Annika. It’s by far the most common version here and always pronounced ANN-i-ka.

I prefer Annika. This spelling is the standard spelling in Scandinavia and Germany and the name of Pippi Longstocking's friend. Anika always looked misspelled to me.

I live in Germany and I know millions of Annikas (the name was super common here in the 80s and 90s and still used quite a bit from the 00s until now), but I only know two who spell it Anika. Don't get me wrong, Anika is perfectly fine. I just think that Annika looks much better.

I also think that Anika might lead to mispronunciations. It's AHN-nee-ka in German and Scandinavian countries, not ah-NEE-ka.

I went to school with two Indian Anika's pronounced A NEE Ka. There was a third who spelt it Aniqa.

For the ANN i Ka pronunciation and European version of the name I'd expect Annika.

Definitely Annika. I'm Swedish and Annika is my aunt's name. The spelling Anika is extremely rare. I know some Annica though.
Just checked the statistics: There are 31044 Annika, 6114 Annica and only 181 Anika in Sweden.

Here in South Africa there are a lot of Anneke people, and plenty of Anna people use Annatjie as a nn. I've never seen either of your versions IRL.

I prefer and expect Annika. The only Annika’s I’ve known have spelled it this way, and pronounced it Ann-ika, not On-ika.
