Twilight was huge when I was in high school and that’s not even my first association. I think more of Belle from Beauty and the Beast, or maybe of a princess in general? Lots of people in my area seem to name their dogs Bella.
That being said, I have always thought Bella is one of the worst names out there. :/ I hate it less for a dog, but on a human it especially makes me think the parents have a need for their daughter to be a princess. It’s bubblegum pink plastic toys and decor. I know I’m projecting hard! Pink decor and princess vibes are fine, but Bella strikes me as artificially fancy in ways even a kid could see through. My feelings are just pretty strongly negative for this name and I’m surprised it’s been so popular for so long. It also just sounds ugly to me. I will say Arabella or something is better than Isabella for whatever reason in my head.
