Maisie
This is the daughter of a fellow poster on another message board I go on; she (Maisie, not the poster lol) just turned three the other day. WDYT of Maisie as a standalone name? Do you like it better than Macey / Macy / Maci / Macie, worse, or about the same?

I love Maisie. In Edinburgh, Scotland lives a fictional tabby kitten and this kitten lives with her granny as her daddy is a famous explorer. The kitten’s name is Maisie and I loved those books as a child. A neighbour Mrs McKitty attends a book club and the honouree president is J.K.Yowling.
I will always think of that little kitten in a kilt and wool jumper(sweater) Maisie of Morningside but I still love the name.

Maisie is nice
I really REALLY dislike it. It sounds very juvenile and childish, and in my opinion, its not even a good cutesy nicknamey name. (If that makes sense) I could possibly see it on a small fluffy white dog.
Maisie has been growing on me, in that I no longer hate it. It's gotten very popular these last few years, probably because of the actress from Game of Thrones. I know several couples who've had daughters within the last five years that have named them Maisie, including a cousin.
I don't think I'll ever quite be a fan of cutesy nicknames as full names though. It feels informal at best, childish at worst. Not that I think everyone needs a super duper serious grownup name when they eventually, you know, grow up, but it just sounds unfinished to me.
I do like it much more than Macy and its variants right now. I associate that name with mean girls, based on experience. Maisie is sweet, Macy is harsh.

I absolutely love Maisie! It's so much better than all the other variants.
