I kinda like Walter. I wouldn't use it personally (I have other options I prefer more) but I'm not entirely opposed to a baby Walter.I always liked Winsor too from Winsor McCay (not Windsor), another early animator. It's got this 1912 charm to it. Walter has a 1928 charm to it. I think it's old enough to bring back now, personally. Not keen on Bryan (or Brian, though I do prefer Brian as the spelling) but it goes with Walter so I can't complain on that front. Bryan reminds me of Brian from My Parents Are Aliens mostly, this alien-pretending-to-be-human guy who adopts several human children with his alien wife and he finds a love of knitting and is a bit dopey. That's the image I get from Brian/Bryan.I think you can guess the image I get of Walter.

LOVEI adore Walter so much. It’s so charming and fresh. Bryan is a bit boring but I’m assuming it honors.

It's ok

Dated grandpa name. I find Walt kinda cute, though - maybe because it reminds me of “waltz”.

Very interesting choices: both are retro, but Walter seems older than Bryan.I like the names and the combo; I do prefer Brian to Bryan, though.

That is surprising. I'm not a big fan of Walter, but I love the nickname Wally.

I like it. It's really retro and I think it will start making a comeback.

It's one of those names that I used to dislike and relegate to old man status. But it is suddenly sounding fresh again and I find myself liking it. The one drawback is the Breaking Bad affiliation. I've never watched the show, so I personally don't make that immediate connection. But a lot of people probably do and I could see that turning me off pretty quickly.

I love it!!!!!

Can't see the appeal at all, but at least it's a decent name to have. It makes me think of Breaking Bad as well.

The only Walter I really know is a baby (in my mind, he's like 19 now lol) but I still kind of associate it with old guys. Not a bad name though, makes me think of Walt Whitman.

I actually like it. Sure, it sounds like an old man, but in a good way, like avuncular and jolly rather than crotchety. Walt is cute.

Walter is a wonderful name! I’ve loved it ever since I read the Anne of Green Gables series as a kid. I was disappointed when my Dad named his dog Walter since that kind of makes it off limits for me now.I wonder if your cousins are big Breaking Bad fans, naming their son after both the character and the actor who plays him.

Oh I didn't even think of that! Bryan is her Dads name so I don't think the breaking bad thing was intentional ;)

I actually don't mind it. I quite like the nn Walt. A refreshing BA indeed. :)

I love Walter! Walter Bryan is handsome, though I prefer the look of Walter Brian. Regardless, a refreshing birth announcement!
