Tigerlily
I've liked Tigerlily for a long time. I really like it more now, I picked a MN for her Tigerlily Rose. Her NN could be Tiger or Lily.I am hesitant to use it though becuase I don't think it would age well ,but who knows. People use Poppy, and I think that doesn't grow well at all, it's cute but too cutesy although it's on adults. So WDYT of Tigerlily?Noah, 4 - "Dad, I love a fun guy!"
Dan - "Oh really? Pumpkin, I'm so glad you think i'm a fun guy!"
Noah, 4 - "No! Dad! I like fungi! you know mushrooms!".

I like it, it has snapShe could always go by the simpler Lily if she felt she was not being taken seriously as an adult.~Lillian~

No. No no no no no. Can you picture "The Honorable Judge Tigerlily Rose Johnson" or "Doctor Tigerlily Rose Johnson" or "President Tigerlily Rose Johnson"? Why not just Lily / Liliana / Lillian / Lilian with Tigerlily as your special nickname for her? That would be pretty cute.

Tigerlily is too contrived; it has an air of "Oh, I'm such a nature girl...aside from the part where I'm a soccer mom," to it, IMO. Much as I love the flower (lilies in general are my favourites), I don't think it makes an appropriate name for a child. A nickname, sure, but Tigerlily Rose makes me cringe.I wouldn't say no to Stargazer as a middle name, though; I think stargazer lilies smell absolutely glorious. I'd also be all right with Lily-of-the-valley, but once again, as a middle name. ;)Array

Well in my opinion its the sort of name only a celebrity child could get away with and two flower names together is a bit too much.

I love it. It is so pretty, and the added on Rose makes it even better.
It does remind me of the Natvie American Damsel in Distress from Peter Pan. Where's the Kaboom? There's suppose to be an Earth shattering kaboom!" -Marvin the Martian.

I like Tigerlily but Tigerlily Rose is toooo many flowers.

I really like it! Maybe not paired with Rose... too flowery. Tigerlily Rose has a very nice sound, but it is two flowers, so it seems a bit too nature-y. But with a different middle name, it'd be awesome.

Much too much.Much too... ridiculous, I'd have to say. It's something that celebrities inflict on their children, IMO, and can only get away from it because their children are going to grow up rich with a famous mother and/or father. Plant or flower or tree names aren't across teh board silly to me. Lily, I respect. Rose, I like. Lilac, Lavender, Laurel, Iris, Fern, and whatever else all sit well with me, too. Even something less usual like Trillium, Marigold, Osmunda, Hyacinth and so on I could take. But Tigerlily is just... too much. Maybe it's on account of it having "tiger" in it; you're not naming a girl after only a flower but also giving her a connection to an animal.

I think it's very sweet, but I don't think it would age well at all. However, Rose is a sensible name that she could fall back on as an adult.-- Sarah

I love it! When she is older i agree - she could be called Tiger or Lily, or even Rose if she didn't like either name.
